"After finishing my Bachelor’s degree in International and European Law at the University of Groningen, I moved to Amsterdam to study the selective Master’s programme in Law and Finance at UvA. Taking courses in law and finance opened the door to obtain a more comprehensive understanding and critical view on legal issues from a new perspective. Towards the end of the Master’s programme I decided I wanted to do a Ph.D. to dive into the topic of my interest, namely the ex-ante impacts of flexible insolvency rules on the cost of capital and financial stability. I was pleased to be granted the opportunity to do so at ACLE, under the supervision of Professor Enrico Perotti and Professor Rolef de Weijs."
UvA's Amsterdam Law School and FEB welcome new joint PhD candidate
