Ariel Porat: From 2002-2006, Ariel Porat was the Dean of Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law. He is Alain Poher Professor of Law at Tel Aviv University and Fischel-Neil Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Chicago, where he visits annually. He was also a Visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkeley, Columbia University, New York University and the University of Virginia. He is a member of the American Law Institute, a former board member of the American Law and Economics Association and a former president of the Israeli Law and Economics Association. From 1997-2002, Ariel Porat was the Director of the Cegla Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Law. He is the founder of the journal Theoretical Inquiries in Law and was its Editor in Chief in the years 1999-2003, author of Contributory Fault in the Law of Contracts (1997), coauthor (with Alex Stein) of Tort Liability under Uncertainty (Oxford University Press 2001), and author of many articles in torts and contracts, most recently, "A Comparative Fault Defense in Contract Law" 107 Michigan Law Review (2009) , "Private Production of Public Goods: Liability for Unrequested Benefits" 108 Michigan Law Review (2009),”Bargaining with Double Jeopardy” Journal of legal Studies (with Saul Levmore, forthcoming 2011) and "Misalignments in Tort Law" 121 Yale Law Journal (forthcoming 2011).
