Introducing Sustainable Finance and Climate Change – Law & Regulation
An overview of the book’s 11 chapters edited by René Smits. The link to the book can be found here. Jaap Winter will introduce his perspective on corporate law developments, proposing that the era of unlimited externalisation of a company’s societal costs has come to an end (referencing the CSRD, CSDDD, Dutch Governance Code). René Smits will present how EU law mandates that the European Central Bank’s take climate change and biodiversity loss into account when pursuing price stability (monetary policy) and financial stability (micro-prudential supervision). This all, will be followed up by a discussion of the topics.
This event will be a hybrid event. The seminar will take place in Roeterseiland campus (REC) building A, room number A3.15, and will also be streamed online via Zoom.
