Alan Schwartz, Sterling Professor at Yale University (Law School and School of Management), visited the ACLE as Visiting Chair in Financial Markets and Law, endowed by Optiver Holding, in May 2014.
Research interests of Professor Schwartz include corporate finance and corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, contracts and commercial transactions.
Schwartz has published numerous articles both in law reviews and in L&E/economics journals including the Columbia Law Review, the Harvard Law Review, the Stanford Law Review, the American Journal of Comparative Law, the Journal of Legal Studies, the American Law and Economics Review, the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, the Journal of Law and Economics, Review of Economic Studies, the Economic Journal, the Bell Journal of Economics. He also published several books and has been identified by the Institute of Scientific Information as being in the top one half of one percent of social scientists worldwide in total citations, and by Heinline-online as one of the fifty most cited law professors of all time.
