Edoardo D. Martino is Associate Professor of Law & Finance at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Programme Director of the Master in Law & Finance, and a Research Associate at the European Banking Institute (EBI).
Edoardo earned his PhD in Law and Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), an LL.M. degree from the European Master in Law and Economics – EMLE (with distinction) and a Law Degree from the University of Florence (summa cum laude). He held visiting positions in several Universities, including the European University Institute, Goethe University Frankfurt, LUISS University, and Oxford University.
Edoardo’s research spans in the broad field of Law & Finance, currently focusing on sustainable banking regulation, private money regulation and bank recovery. On these topics, he published book (chapters) and edited volumes in houses such as Elgar, Palgrave Macmillan, OUP and Routledge; as well as articles in journals such as the Computer Law & Security Review, European Business Organization Law Review, Journal of Corporate Law Studies, Journal of Financial Crises, and Yale Journal on Regulation. He is a guest contributor to, among others, the Columbia Law School Blue Sky Blog, LaVoce.info; Oxford Business Law Blog, and VoxEU Columns.
